Education & Study communities, torn down.
Education communities are built around a syllabus someone else set: an entrance exam, a language, a qualification, a school year. That makes them unusually easy to judge, because the outcome is externally scored. An SAT or IELTS community either moves scores or it does not.
The category covers test prep and tutoring, language learning, university admissions, and groups run by teachers for their own students. What a community adds over a course is pace and company: deadlines you did not set, other people sitting the same paper, and somebody to ask at the point you get stuck rather than three days later.
Look for graded practice, worked solutions and a visible answer-turnaround time. Prices range from free study groups to a few hundred dollars for small tutored cohorts, which is still well below one-to-one tuition. Be wary of guaranteed-score claims: no community controls the exam.

The gap: Pricing here is mostly unpublished: 3 of 6 Education & Study communities show a monthly price, and 3 of those 3 are free or under $25 a month. Anyone who states a price plainly is already unusual.
"online tutoring" alone draws about 12,000 US searches a month, up 19% year on year, and the search results for it are dominated by established sites. Search volume measures interest in the subject, not willingness to pay for a community about it.
