What they actually sell
The Student Roadmap, run by Alex Fitzgerald, lives on Skool. Its public pitch: "The Student Roadmap helps overwhelmed students regain control, mastering academics, health and their mindset to build their dream student life." A free tier sits at the front door, with Premium upgrades above it. Alex Fitzgerald leads with his own story: a 97.6 ATAR alongside a coaching business, representative sport and a strong social circle. The free tier includes pre-recorded masterclasses across academics, fitness, social health, money, wellbeing, spiritual growth and early entry, weekly pillar calls and mentorship. Premium adds full syllabus tutorials in maths, biology, English and economics, his own flashcards and notes, and templates. Inside sit 23 courses and a dense module library. A formal money-back promise is not spelled out on the about page.
Who pays and why
Overwhelmed high school students who want strong grades without giving up sport, friends or their health. The pain is feeling out of control of their student life. They join for holistic masterclasses, weekly check-in calls and mentorship from someone who has done it.
Where the members come from
The Skool lander and Alex Fitzgerald's own teaching appear to be the main acquisition path. Public social links are thin on the about page, so growth reads as community-led rather than a giant media brand. Exact follower counts stay off the about page.
What's holding it back
Students graduate, so the community has a built-in exit. Each year it has to find a new class of members.
Steal this
Sell the whole student life, not only grades, so the room feels like mentorship rather than tutoring.
Would this work in another niche?
Yes for other life stages such as first-year university or new graduates. Weak for adults with no shared milestone.
