The one-liner
A Skool school of Jewish meditation and Kabbalah with a free path and deeper paid levels.
What they actually sell
Torah of Awakening, run by Lisa Schachter-Brooks, lives on Skool. Its public pitch: "A learning and practice community for awakening inner freedom through Jewish Meditation and Kabbalah." A free tier sits at the front door, with Premium and VIP upgrades above it. The free Standard level gives the first Integral Jewish Meditation course, Three Portals of Presence, plus weekly lessons, guided meditations and a live Sunday service. Premium adds daily live meditation with replays, an intro call with a rabbi, the second course, a prayer course, Hebrew reading and an e-book and audiobook. The VIP levels add weekly sessions on the 32 Paths, monthly Hebrew letter sessions, courses three to five and annual coaching calls, with the top level adding printed books by post. Inside sit 18 courses and a dense module library. A formal money-back promise is not spelled out on the about page.
Who pays and why
Spiritual seekers, many of them Jewish, who want Judaism to feel lived and present rather than only studied. They are drawn by the promise of inner freedom and a direct sense of the Divine through attention. They join for Integral Jewish Meditation courses, daily live meditation, Hebrew study and coaching calls at the higher levels.
Where the members come from
Lisa Schachter-Brooks's YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and website presence appears to feed the room. The Skool community reads as the member back end for people already drawn to that work. Exact follower counts stay off the public page.
What's holding it back
The tier ladder is rich but long, with Hebrew names on each level, so a newcomer has to work hard to see what the first upgrade really buys.
Steal this
Name each tier after a stage of the inner journey, so upgrading feels like going deeper rather than paying more.
Would this work in another niche?
Yes for any contemplative tradition with layered teachings, such as yoga philosophy or Sufism. Weak for practical skills with no deeper levels.
