The AI Engineer Academy

The AI Engineer Academy is for software engineers. Become a world-class AI engineer with hands-on, practical training.

Why you should join: Courses, live workshops and projects across machine learning, transformers and LLMs, RAG, AI agents and MCP, AI system design and deploying production AI apps. Free to join.

The one-liner

A free Skool academy training software engineers to become hands-on AI engineers.

What they actually sell

The AI Engineer Academy, run by Roshan Kumar, lives on Skool. Its public pitch: "Master AI engineering, from ML fundamentals to coding agents, RAG, LLMs, and system design." It is free to join. Roshan Kumar's academy covers AI-native software engineering, machine learning, transformers and large language models, RAG engineering, agents and MCP, AI system design and deploying production AI apps. Everything is project-based, and the page speaks to engineers preparing for AI interviews or building AI products. Inside sit 3 courses.

Who pays and why

Software engineers who want to move into AI engineering roles. The worry is that their skills are being overtaken and they lack practical AI experience. They join for project-based courses, live workshops and real engineering practice from LLMs to agents.

Where the members come from

The Skool lander and Roshan Kumar's own teaching appear to be the main acquisition path. Public social links are thin on the about page, so growth reads as community-led rather than a giant media brand. Exact follower counts stay off the about page.

What's holding it back

It is free with no visible paid tier, so live workshops depend on the host's time.

Steal this

List the exact topics an AI engineering interview covers, so engineers see a clear path to the job.

Would this work in another niche?

Yes for any career shift with a clear syllabus, such as data engineering. Weak for vague goals.
