The one-liner
A Skool home for spinners and fibre farmers, from a free community to a fibre business academy.
What they actually sell
Learn Fiber Arts, run by Claudia Gross, lives on Skool. Its public pitch: "Do you want to have like minded fiber friends?" A free tier sits at the front door, with Premium and VIP upgrades above it. Claudia Gross lays out three layers. The free community connects fibre enthusiasts to ask questions and share projects. The Fiber Guild builds confidence processing wool, mohair, angora and alpaca, raising fibre animals and developing skills through workshops and resources. The Fiber Business Academy teaches how to grow a profitable, sustainable fibre farm or business, covering marketing, products and strategy, led by someone who has run a profitable fibre farm for over ten years and has a marketing degree. Inside sit 16 courses and a dense module library. A formal money-back promise is not spelled out on the about page.
Who pays and why
Fibre lovers who keep pushing spinning, knitting and fleece processing aside because life is busy. Some also raise sheep, goats, rabbits or alpacas and want their farm to pay. They join for fibre processing workshops in the Guild and business training in the Fiber Business Academy.
Where the members come from
The Skool lander and Claudia Gross's own teaching appear to be the main acquisition path. Public social links are thin on the about page, so growth reads as community-led rather than a giant media brand. Exact follower counts stay off the about page.
What's holding it back
Hobby spinners and fibre farmers have very different needs, and the page asks one community to serve both. Workshops and course content are not detailed, so buyers cannot see the size of each layer.
Steal this
Stack a hobby tier under a business tier, so the most committed hobbyists have somewhere to go when they want income.
Would this work in another niche?
Yes for beekeeping, flower farming or any smallholding craft. Weak for hobbies with no product to sell.
