First Call Drummer

First Call Drummer is for drummers who feel stuck. Go from intermediate to pro with Diamond Johnson.

Why you should join: Weekly live calls, guest speakers, an album club, video reviews with feedback and exclusive courses from a Grammy-winning, stadium-touring drummer. Free to join.

The one-liner

A free Skool community for drummers who can play but want to reach pro level.

What they actually sell

First Call Drummer, run by Diamond Johnson, lives on Skool. Its public pitch: "Go from intermediate to pro while learning from Grammy award-winning, stadium-touring drummer Diamond Johnson." It is free to join. Diamond Johnson runs weekly live calls, guest speaker sessions, an album club that works like a book club, video reviews with feedback and exclusive courses and training for drummers who are serious about getting better. Inside sit 5 courses.

Who pays and why

Intermediate drummers who feel stuck or lack direction in their playing and careers. The frustration is knowing they are good but not knowing how to become first call. They join for weekly live calls, guest speakers, an album club and video reviews with feedback.

Where the members come from

The Skool lander and Diamond Johnson's own teaching appear to be the main acquisition path. Public social links are thin on the about page, so growth reads as community-led rather than a giant media brand. Exact follower counts stay off the about page.

What's holding it back

It is free with no visible paid layer, so the live calls and reviews lack a clear way to sustain themselves.

Steal this

Run an album club like a book club, so listening becomes part of practice.

Would this work in another niche?

Yes for any musical instrument or creative craft. Weak where the work has no shared reference material.
