1st Drone Academy

1st Drone Academy is for new DJI drone pilots. Learn to fly with confidence in public.

Why you should join: A welcoming beginners community with expert advice and fellow drone enthusiasts, plus paid courses when you are ready to level up. Free to join.

The one-liner

A free academy helping new DJI drone owners fly like pros without fear of flying in public.

What they actually sell

1st Drone Academy, run by Henrik Olsen, lives on Skool. Its public pitch: "Our Academy is for hobbyists using DJI Drones that want to learn to Drone Like a Pro without fear of flying in public." It is free to join. Look no further than the 1st Drone Academy! Inside sit 6 courses. The public page keeps the promise practical and specific rather than vague networking talk.

Who pays and why

Hobbyists who want company while they practise, not another lonely tutorial tab. The itch is starting projects and never finishing them alone. They join for peer support and a place to keep practising with others. 1st Drone Academy is sold as a place to do the work with others, not to collect another login.

Where the members come from

Henrik Olsen's YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn and website presence appears to feed the room. The Skool community reads as the member back end for people already drawn to that work. Exact follower counts stay off the public page. Henrik Olsen remains the visible face of the brand on the lander.

What's holding it back

If live energy fades, members who came for company will treat it as another course tab.

Steal this

Run a hobby community around weekly making together, not only a content library.

Would this work in another niche?

Yes for other skill hobbies with weekly making together. Weak for passive content libraries.
