The one-liner
A Skool chess academy where an International Master teaches a belt curriculum from beginner to 2000.
What they actually sell
Chess with Zura, run by Zura Javakhadze, lives on Skool. Its public pitch: "Train with IM and GM-elect Zura Javakhadze: a structured belt curriculum (0-2000), weekly live classes, and a community that holds you accountable." A free tier sits at the front door, with Premium upgrades above it. Zura Javakhadze, an International Master and GM-elect, built four belts: White, Green, Purple and Brown, each with lessons, drills and companion studies. Joining is free and includes the full White Belt classroom. Premium unlocks the higher belts, a weekly live group class, recordings, feedback on games and homework and a monthly personal game review video. Inside sit 13 courses and a dense module library. A formal money-back promise is not spelled out on the about page.
Who pays and why
Chess players of every level who have talent but no structure to improve. The frustration is studying at random and not seeing the rating move. They join for a four-belt curriculum with drills, weekly live classes and personal game reviews.
Where the members come from
Zura Javakhadze's YouTube presence appears to feed the room. The Skool community reads as the member back end for people already drawn to that work. Exact follower counts stay off the public page.
What's holding it back
It leans on one coach's time for live classes and reviews, which caps how many Premium members he can serve well.
Steal this
Give away the whole first level free, so people feel the curriculum working before they pay for the next.
Would this work in another niche?
Yes for any skill with clear levels, like a martial art or a language. Weak where progress is hard to measure.
